Handmade acoustic guitars
Grover NC
Like I've said elsewhere, we don't have any fancy model names. If someone wants to come up with cool names for our guitars, let me know. Pretty much any body size and style is available, within reason for our base price. We make all our own molds and forms. Body styles and sizes include, but aren't limited to, Standard Dreadnaught 14 frets to the body. Slope Dread, 14 or 12 frets to the body. OM/000 14 or 12 frets to the body. Also available are 2 styles we've designed. A "LJ" (little jumbo- contact for specs) it can be built with 12, 13 or 14 frets to the body, and a Mini- Dread. It's sized between an OM and an 00. It can be built with 12, 13, or 14 frets to the body too. I can build a slight taper into any style. This leaves the bass side a little thinner than the treble side. It makes the body more comfortable if you play sitting down. This isn't so drastic the guitar looks funny, but it is more comfortable.
You choice of nut width, stings spacing at the saddle and fingerboard width is included.
I hand carve my necks. I can shape it how you want it.
My standard fingerboard radius is compound, going from 12" at the nut to 16" at the end of the fingerboard, but I can do whatever radius you want.
I normally use one of 5 different bridge styles depending on the tone you want. Styles outside of my normal designs will be quoted on an as needed basis.
Bone nut and saddle is included, your choice of bleached or unbleached.
Ebony, Rosewood, Boxwood or Bone bridge pins are standard
Gotoh 510 tuners, or Gotoh open back vintage style tuners are standard. Others available
1 piece, 3 piece or 5 piece Mahogany neck standard. Many wood combinations available. Double adjustable truss rod is accessed through the soundhole.
Adirondack Spruce top bracing is standard, although I will mix and match bracing materials to get the desired tone. I use a variety of bridgeplate materials, depending on the tone desired. I use hot hide glue for all the joints inside the box, as well as the bridge. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN GLUES. My preference is for Dovetail neck joints, but I can use a mortise-tenon bolt on if you prefer. Fingerboard binding is standard, either the same binding as the body or if you prefer the look of an unbound fingerboard I can bind it with the same material it's made of or leave it unbound.

Cases
It seems like everyone wants a different kind of case, or wants to supply their own case. My base price doesnt' include a case. I will supply pretty much any case for what the case cost me, or you can supply your own case. I won't ship a guitar without a decent hardshell case. Please inquire with any questions.
Finishes
Finish options are covered on the "finishes" page. I offer several different types of finishes.
